This cult-classic 1974 film is based on the true story of real life mass murderer and Wisconsin ghoul Ed Gein. Gein, "The Butcher of Woodside": graverobber, necrophiliac, cannibal, and human taxidermist inspired many other films including: ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho, Three on a Meathook and Silence of the Lambs’.

Roberts Blossom plays Ezra Cobb (Ed Gein) who mummifies his mother’s body when she dies and then takes home other dead bodies to keep her company, before turning to murder and eating the flesh of his victims and wearing their dead body parts. Special makeup FX by Tom Savini
